Together Compliance are experts in FCA and Data Protection compliance. Our team has over 20 years' experience working in the legal and financial services sectors, holding a number of regulatory compliance oversight roles in regulated firms and having various industry recognised compliance qualifications. We have obtained FCA authorisations for regulated businesses in multiple sectors and have significant experience in regulatory engagement with the FCA, ICO and MOJ, as well as with various ombudsman's in respect of consumer complaints such as the FOS and LeO.
Since the introduction of the Access to Justice Act 1999, Gian has dedicated his whole professional career, spanning over 20 years, to the legal, claims and financial services sectors. During this time he has worked at leading law firms, After the Event Insurance brokers and claims management companies.
This first-hand experience has given Gian a unique insight as to how these sectors work and interact with each other, including the role of litigation funding, which is even more important following the enactment of the Financial Guidance and Claims Act 2018 and how the claims management sector has evolved following the PPI deadline (with a number of emerging areas of claims being more suited to a litigation model). He has also held a number of prescribed compliance oversight functions (i.e. CF10 and SMF16) in regulated firms and is a qualified GDPR practitioner.
Gian is passionate in raising the standards of the claims management and financial services sectors, whilst ensuring that these industries are being fairly represented and supported. He was the founding member of one industry trade body and currently sits on the Executive Committee of the Alliance of Claims Companies. Through his trade body work, Gian has been instrumental in a number of industry responses to regulatory consultations which have help shaped the respective sectors. He has also met with a number of prolific consumer groups and heads of regulation in an effort to promote better industry practices and highlight the crucial roles these sectors play in the legal and financial systems.
Jenni has worked exclusively in the financial services sector for the last 10 years. She previously worked as Group Operations Manager for a group of regulated firms. As a result, she has gained significant experience and a practical understanding of various regulated sectors.
She moved on to be the Group Compliance Manager, where she was responsible for the group's governance, risk and compliance frameworks, as well as managing the group’s compliance department. During her tenure as Group Compliance Manager, she was instrumental in drafting and completing a number of applications for FCA authorisation, all of which were successful. She has also been responsible for overseeing and structuring expansive multi-channel marketing campaigns reaching millions of consumers, ensuring that these high profile B2C campaigns were compliant.
Jenni has a plethora of industry recognised qualifications accredited by The London Institute of Banking and Finance and The International Compliance Association including, Regulatory Compliance, Regulated Complaints Handling, UK Financial Regulation and Mortgage Advice and Practice.
